How do I keep my existing number?

I've been on Vodafone for 2 years now & I will soon be moving to another network. I would like to take my existing number with me. How do I do that?

CHEERS

you should be able to discuss this with the operator you are moving to and they should be able to assisst, otherwise you will have to get hold of a PAK code to transfer your number. This can be obtained from Vodafone, but it means you might not be able to use the new network instantly until transfer occurs and you might also be charged for the transfer.

as james said.
request ur p.a.c code from vodafone, this will be valid for 30 days (it usually takes voda 24 hours to get code, they then say theyl post it to u, however ring em back up the next night itll be on ur account they can give it u over the phone)
then give the pac code to new operator (tmobile. 02 etc)
u will be given another number by new provider until ur number is moved however.
if ur moving to 3 u will have 2 numbers!
the one uv moved will be for voice calls and texts only and will be given another for video calls (you know the thing hardly anyone deos anyway )

I've ordered my pac code, how will this affect my Vodafone contract now? It finishes early Feb, but the last payment will be end of Jan, will Vodafone just cancel my contract & issue me with my final bill?

Right, got my pac code, do I wait until my contract ends, to order my new phone & use the pac code, or do I order a.s.a.p.?

If I order a.s.a.p. what happens to my remainding 2 weeks?
