Have you got a 6230i - Please Help!

Today I went and got the firmware flashed in my 6230i.

What I didn't realise is that all the ringtones and themes etc would be wiped and not replaced, all I have left is the nokia ringtone startup noise.

If you have a 6230i, and especially a 6230i on vodafone, please could you copy the THEMES, GRAPHICS and TONES folders from your phone and upload them here, or email them to me.

Why did you flash the firmware? Any imporvements, I also have a 6230i...

The main reason was to remove T-mobile branding from the phone. The second was to ensure I had the latest bluetooth software.

My phone had version 3.40, I have read that version 3.50 made the menus 'open' quicker as well as all the usual fixes. My phone now has version 3.62. I'm not sure what this update has fixed/changed and haven't noticed any difference yet.

My phone is still v3.4, have noticed it is pretty slow on menu loading, most noticeably when accessing contacts, would be interested if it speeds up access...Did you get it from nokiafree.org?

The phone must be flashed by a Nokia service centre, they will happily do it for nothing provided the phone is still within the warranty period.

You can find your local service centre on the Nokia website. If there isn't one close to you, Nokia also provide a freepost address where you can send the phone.

If you get your phone updated, try and make sure they install the "content package" too, this will put back all the default ringtones, themes etc. This contents package wasn't added to my phone, hence my lack of ringtones, but I've now discovered it is also need for the phone to work with Nokia PC Suite software.

V.3.62 has been available since Nov 4th 2005 ,I got one of these phones yesterday ,what is the overall opinion of them ?

I really like this phone, does everything I want, tri-band (travel alot), syncronises with outlook for contacts and calendar and looks good. Downside for me is battery life, not very long on standby or talktime.
