Motorola V80 unlock / Block?

Hi all - I have given my old V80 to my daughter as the battery on her previous phone is shot. My old phone was reg to Orange, I think my daughter is on T-mobile, maybe o2. Not sure if she will need an unblock / unlock or a course in communications basics . Can she punch in a bunch of numbers to fix it or will she need to take it to a shop (and where are these shops? (Any idea of cost - she'll ask me for the money no worries!))
Anyway, any advice would be much appreciated. Best Regards

it can not be unlocked with a bunch of numbers that is for sure

There used to be a service to pay for the unlock code to be calculated by many websites but that was closed down

Now you can unlock it with a server which uses the original Motorola USB cable which comes with this phone

Or you can just pop down your local unlocking phone shop and ask them to do it prices really depend of the area your in but expect to pay around £15

Thx Prem GM - I'll give the local shop a go. £15quid sounds pricey - but it'll be cheaper than a new batery.
