Orange SIM blocked!

My daughter has a Sagem mobile phone which is on Orange pay as you go. The problem is that she has gone into the phone settings and somehow the SIM is now coming up as 'sim blocked'. Does anybody know how to unblock it? I have rang the Orange help line for 'pay as you go' but before you can get anywhere it asks for an i.d number. What would this i.d number be on? Is it easier to get her a new Sim card even though she will then lose all her numbers? Any help gratefully received.

Sounds to me like you need a PUK code, just call Orange and ask for one, if not then you will need a new sim card, oh and you id number should just be her phone number.

Sorted. Spent an hour in the 'Orange' shop and was given new codes to enter into the phone. It now works as good as new. Cost = Nothing
