Question Mobile MSM messenger - help needed

I'm after some sort of mobile phone/pda that i can pick up my emails on as well as run messenger on. Can anyone tell me:

1. when runninng mobile messenger do you appear on everyone's msm list just like you would if you were signed in on your desktop pc?

2. can you conduct normal instant conversations just like normal or does it rely on some sort of sms technology?

3. Does it need G3 or will gprs work ok?

I've been trying to find this out for ages so if you can help, that'd be great!

Windows Mobile V5 has a built in MSN messenger application that works exactly the same as the desktop version.

Currently the O2 XDA Exec and XDA Mini S (Plus T-Mobile and Orange variants of these phones) run Winodws Mobile 5.

Connects using GPRS or built in Wi-FI and once signed in your list of MSN contacts appear the same as on the desktop.

Correct! Also XDA mini available from o2 student site 100 xnet minutes for £300 for whole term (12 month contract)

When you logged in mobile msn messenger, others will see the message as "xx as signed in from a mobile device"

Hope this helps

Believe that these are the only 2 at the moment as it's a pretty new OS. You can Flash some of the older Pocket PC phones such as the XDA2s/MDA3 with a WM05 rom downloaded from the web but your asking for a whole load of pain!
