vodafone: misinformation- being misold am I the only one

Hello again

after my previous vodafone problem-
Mobiles/networks that work in UK and Japan?
I thought my worries were over

But I've been mis-sold again

When getting my n70 in exchange for my old blackberry
told the shop manager exactly what I used my phone for "lots of emails everyday"
and then asked about my current price plan (blackberry email- 15 quid for 6 mb data)

"Oh no problem"- he says
"stick with your current price plan you wont notice a difference in your bill"

Now a bill for £173 lands on my door for using 20mb of data on the n70 through emailing, it seems the n70 chews through data when you check your email
(and I've barely used the thing for emailing as its not that good for that purpose)

and now I face a battle with the 'specialist billing deptartment' to stop them taking my money after I've been given the wrong information AGAIN

If you cant trust a store manager then you can you trust?
also was told in the past that extra mb cost £3

Is it just me that gets told a 1001 different things when I ask vodafone employees questions?
and gets mis-sold crap thats not fit for its purpose?

really at the end of my tether, dont fancy paying them a lot of my hard-earned money because their employee's cant get a story straight

no the n70 will not work like a blackberry on a blackberry tariff. You will be charged at per £2.35 megabyte unless you have a text pack

aye I found that out the hard way

but its the fact I specifcally explained to the store manager about the phones main use and then asked about my price plan

I wish it was £2.35 per megabyte
would have a bill for only £32 plus my normal price plan

its worked out roughly £10 (+vat) per mb once I went over my "blackberry email" price plan
as that covers me for 6 megabytes at a cost of £15
and I've used another 14 megabytes

edit-
I've found out (through my own means, not vodafones info)
that a blackberry email priceplan doesnt work on a non blackberry handset
I've been charged a hefty "internet" data tariff each time I sent an email

so thats a mis-sale from the vodafone again
A warning beacon to anyone else

Do your own research.
