Erm A Bit Stuck

Hi i have a SHARP GX 15 (dont laugh) i have a little problem with my ringtones. Iv convereted my music to AMR and sent the files to my phone via bluetooth from my computer. Now i try to set a song iv sent as a ringtone but for some reason it wont let me use it as a ringtone. Have i done something wrong or is it just not possible. Thanks (should i just get a new phone that plays mp3s)

if its a voda version i think they sometimes fix the firmware so you cant (something to do with copyright i think)

i think im a bit wrong here, its mp3s on some voda branded models that has been disabled
but i found this regarding the gx15 here:

which says:
"Strangely, the GX15 does not support WAV or AMR files as ringtones in the same way as many other phones these days, although it will store them and play them"

you will need SMAF format to use as a ringtone
