Smile MP3 on mobile phones quality

Hello all,
Thought I would ask if anyone has opinions on mp3 player quality on mobile phones.
I have had the following:
Nokia 6630... Too quiet and can only get 256mb cards
Motorola E398... Amazing quality again only 256mb cards
Sharp GX30... Very good quality and uses up to 1gig sd ram cards

Any thoughts anyone else?

i've got the 6230. just now i've got a 512 mmc card but i don't think there's a limit.
sound is very good on the headphones and it actually has a pretty loud speaker too so i use it as a jukebox when i'm down the beach or pottering in the garden.

The quality on my Samsung D500 is off the hook. Great, loud, and plenty of memory to use it as a mini jukebox when needed.

As you all know about mp3's on mobiles, could u help me please???

Hi, hope you dont mind me butting in on your thread, but i am desperate and nobody answers my posts!!
The problem: I have a Motorola v635, which has the mp3 player built in, I have upgraded to a 256 transflash memory card. I cant get the mp3's onto my phone. I have tried using the mobile phone tools software and have also tried just using the usb lead itself and going into 'mycomputer' and then mobile-sounds- etc...it recognizes pictures, I can upload and download pictures no problem, but when I go into 'sounds' there is nothing there.
I have spoken to orange and even to motorola themselves and motorola said that it could be that the files are in wma format and i need mp3 format, they suggested visiting 'motocoder' which I have done but it looks like a foreign language to me!! ll I want to do is use the mp3 player on my mobile! surely that is not asking too much?
Yours very off!!

Nicola

Nicola-piglet give google a search wma to mp3 converter, convert them to mp3 and then try it, they should have a help file to show you how to do it, and by the way there are different qualities of the mp3 files you will make, 128 kbps (kilo bit per second) is CD quality lower than that should not make much differennce - I recommend about ~80 but don't go too low otherwise the quality will be rubbish through the headhones - it may be ok through the louspeaker
