motorola v635 not charging

Motorola v635 is great, had it for a month or so with no problem. However, last night when I put it on charge it just said "Unable to Charge" and is still the same this morning. Anyone else had this problem? Any feedback would be much appreciated.

No sorry 8o(

Hi, sorry that you are having a problem, my v635 charges fine, where did you get it from? is it contract or payg? it sounds like you might have to take it back and get another one, it wont be much used to you for long if it isnt charging!
Now sorry to be cheeky and asking!! but as you have a v635, can I ask if you can get the mp3 player to download songs onto the phone? this is a post that I have just posted on someone eles's thread:

Hi, hope you dont mind me butting in on your thread, but i am desperate and nobody answers my posts!!
The problem: I have a Motorola v635, which has the mp3 player built in, I have upgraded to a 256 transflash memory card. I cant get the mp3's onto my phone. I have tried using the mobile phone tools software and have also tried just using the usb lead itself and going into 'mycomputer' and then mobile-sounds- etc...it recognizes pictures, I can upload and download pictures no problem, but when I go into 'sounds' there is nothing there.
I have spoken to orange and even to motorola themselves and motorola said that it could be that the files are in wma format and i need mp3 format, they suggested visiting 'motocoder' which I have done but it looks like a foreign language to me!! ll I want to do is use the mp3 player on my mobile! surely that is not asking too much?
Yours very p*$$*d off!!

Ok lets try to help both of you

First Bob

This may appear to be a silly answer but have you ever had a motorola phone before.I ask simply because if you have another charger then it could be that you are using the wrong one.I have maybe 10 moto chargers lying around and frequently get unable to charge on many of my motos because the chargers look the same but operate at a slightly different voltage. So check that first of all.If not try turning the phone off and putting plug in.Might not work but worth a try.

Nicola lets see Firstly any music you want to use would need to be saved in mp3 format.Do a search for DBpoweramp in google and download it.Then rip your songs using that which should save them into the right format. In my experience the moto software is a pita so i would buy a card reader and save your mp3s to the card. Then slam it into phone and hopefully bobs your uncle

My phone is charging now, I took the battery and sim out, blew on them and it did the trick!

My mp3 player works. I used the mobile phone tools CD that came with the phone to put songs on my phone but it took a few goes. Firstly I was able to put one song on my phone from my PC. When I tried a second song my computer would not recognise my phone. I tried another PC and it was the same. Then I tried a laptop and it was fine. So... I don't know if there are problems with the software or not, but perhaps try loading the CD onto another machine and trying again?
