DVD to PDA software?

Having bought a 1GB SD card to put films on my PDA i am struggling to find any free software for shrinking DVDs down to PDA size (for Pocket PC)

I'm probably being tight in not purchasing the relevant software, but the card and PDA set me back enough as it is!

Thanks

Have you looked on the Podket PC forums?
I don't have one myself, using a Palm, but I know that instructions exist for compressing DVD's for use on T3s etc which can be found in the Palm threads at http://www.brighthand.com/

PocketDiVX Encoder works well for both PocketPC and Windows Smartphone.

PocketDiVX Encoder

Use BetaPlayer to view the movies.

BetaPlayer

They are both freeware

Fairuse Wizard is mainly designed to convert dvd to DiVX for use on standard size TV's. If you want to do that, you are better off using DVDShrink. To use it for a PocketPc, you have to re-jig the output.

PocketDivx encoder is specifically designed to create movies to run on a variety of Pocket PC's and smartphones. It already includes all the screen size templates etc and is an automated operation. Select the movie, select the device to be played on and press start.

And the full version of Fairuse Wizard is not free.
