Hottest Phone Ever??

WOW!

Are yall aware of the new Motorola V710? It is a groovy little phone. Some of the features include video capture, 1.2 M Pixel Screen AND a mp3 player ALL IN ONE! The phone is H O T! Finally a camera phone that I can actually SEE the pics I take O and did I mention its Bluetooth enabled? This phone ROCKS!

Anyone else gotta phone with a mini camcorder?? How do you like it?

It still don't beat the P900.

Except for a megapixel camera and flash, the P900 does all of the above and more

Have a look at the Sendo X...

If they ever get it released, it's gonna blow the others away..
They've just delayed it's release again as they're implementing full voice activation... now that's gonna be seriously cool.

voice activated menus and talk-type text messages...

no more repeatedly pressing increasingly small and fiddly buttons...

can't wait personally...

All we need next is 'beam me to the pub' function and life is sorted.

I have no problem texting with the flip closed - the T9 works well and the scroll wheel helps speed input.

The larger keys help too

Motorola has included a large 262K color TFT screen capable of displaying 176x220 resolution
Doesn't sound that great. More and more phones are coming with Megapixel+ cameras now. In fact I had a Sharp GX30 up until recently and that had a great (1Mp) camera and screen (240x320) but was so bad in other ways I got rid of it.

I've got a Nokia 6230 which I think is a cracking business phone.....however I was tempted by the new Sony Ericsson K700 and upgrade my wifes phone so I could have a try.

Anyway to cut a long story short I ended up sending it back - it had some great features and gizmos but the basic phone functions (i.e 90% of what you actually use) were crap.

It kept dropping calls, the bluetooth was poor and the voice dialling was a complete joke.

It was an absoloute pleasure to go back to the NOKIA.

So I'm afraid after a couple of daliances with both Motorola (V600) and Sony (K700) recently, I am still of the somewhat boring view that Nokia still lead the way in terms of ease of use (intuitiveness) and phone performance.

I've had my fair share of cutting edge cool phones but just can't be bothered anymore so I went for the LG8110 from 3.
Half price line rental for 12months and 500 mins cross network for £12.50 a month, ok the half price is only at source for the first 3 months (ie they only charge me £12.50 for the first 3 months and then £25 a month from then on)then you have to send them a voucher every 3 months and they send you a cheque for £39.50.

It's a camera phone, and I can ring people with it, then there's the 3G stuff.

A bit of a no brainer really for that price.

Rich

V710 is CDMA so won't work in Europe. Only just about to be released on Verizon Wireless in the States. It is nice though

Motorolas, proportionaly make up the majority of phones we get back under warranty at work. They just cannot get a handle on quality control.

P900 is a **** hot little phone, shame it's an ugly so and so. Reliability is alright now they've sorted the firmware, even battery life is as good as most 'normal' phones.

Doesn't matter what you call them, you still look like a real berk talking into them. SPV M1000, XDA, P900 etc etc... all HUUUUUUGE!

And how the hell are you supposed to use the keyboard on the P910?!

I felt that my Nokia 8210, and then Ericsson T68 were too small - alright for the pocket, but it seemed a bit silly holding this small phone next to my ear in out-streched fingers. Plus the keypad buttons were too small to use properly

I agree that the XDA is too wide for a phone, but the P900 and SPV are about the right size for holding.

The P910's keypad is just a gimmick - why design an excellent phone based on touch screen input and then added a keypad?

Except that the K700i only has 40mb of memory that isn't expandable, and although the camera is stated to be 1mp, it isn't really 1mp, it's 640x480 sensor with some gubbins to take it up to 1mp output. Not to mention the battery life is pretty bad, with less than moderate use requiring a daily charge. Not to mention the million and one things your P900 can do that the K700i couldn't dream of (checking those excel spreadsheets etc..)

Not that i'm trying to put you off the K700i, but i just don't think it's so great. If you're binning your P900 i'll have it!
