What software have you found useful or would recommend?

vxutil - handy little program for pinging, tracerouting etc

gsplayer - plays most music formats and supports shoutcast streaming from winamp

pocketmvp / pockettv / pocketdivx - i personally have all 3 installed so there's virtually no video file i cant play

pocketvncview - ppc version of vnc client for remote desktopping (maybe pebbles pccommander too if you need)

a more powerful explorer than default (havent found one yet that im completely happy with though)

netremote - the daddy of all ppc programs, can be fully integrated to control an htpc via girder, or external ir devices via usb uirt et al, make coffee etc

plenty of info about it both here and on avs so i wont bother going into too much detail but definitely worth checking out

lastly depending on what you're planning to do with your ppc you might want to look at gps navigation programs such as tomtom (i havent done this yet but may consider it in the future when i have more money :D)

Picked up my 4150 yesterday. Can't quite believe how amazing these things are......I'm off to search for software when I get lunch break.

A must piece of software is Pocketbackup by Sprite software. There will be times you need to reset the pda which is no hassle. But there will be the hopefully rare occassion you need to do a hard-reset and you will lose all the settings and software - software on rom of course goes back to factory settings.

You can backup to PC or better still to a memory card that can be executed and that resets your PDA to it's backed up state.

You may have a version installed - I go mine upgraded for around $5 quite a while ago but there may still be similar offers.

...but how much did you get your pda (2210) from and where.

I have looked at one of these myself and tempted to spend.

It's best that you wait Dell are releasing their X30 series of PDA's and HP are releasing new PDA's late this year.
