O2 say no, CFW say yes?

Hello people.

I have had a SE P910i for about 6 years, been on o2 all that time as well with PAYG, topped up regularly, but I decided that my almost dead phone, and PAYG plan had their life, and it was time to move on up.

I immediately knew I wanted the Palm Pre, on an O2 contract (£30 a month, loads of minutes, unlimited txts and data!) great I thought! *Applies on o2s site*

Now, they came back to me, requiring that i have TWO credit cards, as well as my drivers license, and that the app couldn't go on without me having at least those two cards (My one debit card wasnt enough for them I guess)

So.....I thought all was lost.................unitl!

I found the same offer/phone on the CFW site, with o2, so I just chanced it, and applied. I got a confirmation email but didn't hold out much hope, UNTIL JUST NOW!

I just received my dispatch email, and I can see on the DHL site that it is on it's way! So.....*** LOL I thought CFW's credit checks were a lot more strict than going to O2 direct, or am I getting my hopes up, and they will decide not to give me the contract, and I won't be able to use the phone? (Or does this email/the phone on it's way mean that I have been completely accepted?)

thanks

They wouldn't have given you the phone if you hadn't been accepted for a contract already so no worries there!

I've never had too many issues with security in CPW.

Well I have been trawling the net a lot the past few days, and apparently going to O2 would he a shoe in, where as CFW seemed to be way more strict, and their checking was a lot more random.

Oh well, lucky lucky me :D I am just REALLY pleased I can get rid of this P910i!!! the battery lasts about an hour now haha, plus more txts, more credit, it was just getting stupid.

Thanks was afraid that they would refuse to activate it haha

EDIT: O2 seemed to want two different credit cards, and even said they could be on the SAME ACCOUNT, they didn't care, to do the credit check....where as CFW seem to have been able to do it with just my Debit Card, AND im on O2 anyway, hahaha.

Just checked, and it must have all gone through, because the status of my delivery on the DHL site is -

Arrived At Depot 15/03/10 06:02 PRESTON SERVICE CENTRE

I ordered this phone on Saturday, they did all the checks, and shipped it by Sunday, and looks like it will be Delivered Monday, oh CFW, I love you, and I want to have your babies.

a few years ago, I applied for a 3 phone with the CPW, it arrived but needed activating, I contacted CPW who told me 3 have now cancelled there contract and wont activate it, they sent me a prepaid envelope back and I sent it back...

a few months later 3 phone me on my P.A.Y.G and offer me this blinding deal, I chanced it and phone arrived 2 days later and I have been with 3 ever since, strange how this is the opposite way round for you
