Phone recommendation please

Hopefully someone will be able to help me work out what phone might be best for me.
I'm looking for something with a qwerty keyboard, preferably slide out, GPS and decent web browsing. Other important factors are battery life and reliability.
Possible options seem to be Nokia N900, motorola milestone, HTC touch pro, sony ericsson xperia.
Any particular recommendations or phones to avoid?

Cheers

Dear god no, not the N97 nor Mini version, it's simply not in the same league as any of the others mentioned.

N900 or Milestone, depending on whether you want an ongoing project but more power (N900) or a complete and finished article (Milestone).

Fair enough the others are better handsets, but the N97 still isn't bad?

It's an utter disappointment. It has many happy owners for sure, but more disappointed potential owners or ex-owners. It's a shame, but it's not great at all. The Mini is slightly better, but you know what they say about polishing turd.

Yeah admittedly, the original was an utter disaster however the Mini is better.

I did consider the N97 but most of the reviews I've seen said it's pretty crap.
I'll see if I cant try out the N900 & milestone and see what I think.

Cheers
