DVB-H phones

hi,

i am looking at new phones at the mo (maybe an HTC magic)

but came across dvb-h phones, well the nokia n96.

i have a few questions:

does it cost to watch TV via dvb-h?
what other phones are there that enables this? (nice phones par or better than nokia n95)

many thanks

It's not supported in the UK as there is no DVB service broadcast, so it's an entirely useless feature at the moment. Great if you spend a lot of time in Germany though....

It's been said to be coming for a long time, but with the advances in mobile data networks and the fact 4G/LTE is on it's way, chances are internet streaming will make it null and void anyway.

4G is the successor to 3G. Still some time away, but live trials and rollouts are happening around the world so it's certainly coming.

O2 have started installing their LTE network, I believe in Slough. T-Mobile have demonstrated a LTE network. Its likely that at first, it will be used for Mobile Broadband. Theoretically, it can manage 100Mb/s for each connection but in practice it looks somewhere like 30 to 50 even in moving vehicles.
