need help regarding a new phone to purchase?

i've decided to sell my iphone and was looking for a decent alternative that offers a good web browsing experience.

preferably was looking at something with a qwerty keyboard but this is not essential.

i have been looking at the htc touch pro 2 (it is a bit expensive)

htc touch 2

are there any other good handsets (sim free or pay as you go on o2) available that have great web browsers?

not too sure on the likes of samsung, nokia, sony ericsson etc web browsers?

my budget is £250 max.

help please, cheers.

Motorola Milestone fits the bill.
As does the Palm Pre.

There was a TP2 in the For Sale section here for less than your budget recently, so search for that too.

my girlfriend likes her HTC Tattoo. it's just like the hero is but slightly smaller and neater and it's on android. It's only downfall i dislike is its a resistive touch screen and i much prefer my capacitive one. but other than the looks and screen it's hard to notice any software difference from the hero which is almost double the price. a real bargain at £190 for something that has as much as it does inside

i really like the look of the htc touch 2. nice and small and looks the part, just a bit worried about the relatively low price
