this is quite a stupid question but i cant find any info by searching the 'net;
i have a nokia 5800 sim locked to o2. would a different o2 sim card work in it? or does sim lock literally mean 'only the sim card provided will work'
i want to get a simplicity with unlimited texts to go alongside my current measly allowance of 350 on a 18 month contract

The phone would be locked to a network not an individual sim card, however have you tried another network's sim in your phone?
As previously O2 supplied branded but unlocked phones, that is to say it displayed O2 on start up & you could choose O2 an screensaver but the phone worked with all but Three sims.

i have tried a vodafone sim in it and it doesnt work. im wanting to get a Palm Pre from ebay, and i just wondered whether my o2 sim would work in it. and as any palm pre's on ebay will be locked does that mean the sim card will be provided with it?
