Replace lost Omnia or better phone available for £300?

My insurance were unable to source me an Omnia when mine got nicked so they are sending me £300 towards a new phone.

I really liked my Omnia but it wasn't without it's hicups - my main gripe being the poor quality camera having stepped up from a Nokia n95.

I may sell anything I pick up on in 4/5 months if something better is availble at contract renew time, so I'm wondering what phone would hold value and fulfil all my phone needs - those being a smartphone (used to win mobile but willing to swtich), wi-fi, mp3, camera, video, radio, bluetooth, GPS and prefereably touch screen. The HTC's seem popular but I don't seem to be able to find one with a decent camera in my budget.

I suppose my other option is to stump up for something now - maybe the Omnia HD or one of the recent HTC Android phones and sell on any upgrade I get early next year.

Anyone got any opinions on Omnia beater for 300 notes?
thanks

Any opinions on the camera & battery life on the HTC phones? I'm thinking of the Hero or maybe Touch Diamond 2 might be available in my price band.

I do use my phone for tunes so I need something that will at least last a day with a few hours of tunes and some general internet / call / texting use. My Omnia would last one or two days after tweaking some settings.
