Angry OMG - Orange Charge Over WIFI!?

Hiya,

My partner and I recently decided to get a couple of phones on Orange, I the i8910. I have debranded it to Italian.

I called up this evening when noticing our bill much higher than we anticipated. First thing was being charged 1p for delivery reports??? Was free on PAYG!

Second was picture messages. I understood the MMS would charge (didn't know 30p, ridiculous) but ALSO charging me 30p everytime I send an email with a picture, even though I have their 500mb data plan bundle.

To top that after digging into the conversation, it emmergered that I get charged because the phone registers what has been sent and everytime you use the phone it updates the service provider with what's sent so.... even when I'm sending emails over my own network via wifi to my computer I'm charged 30p.

How is this Legal????

Your not. If you send MMS whilst connected via wi-fi your still charged as these arent sent via your local network, they're sent over the air by the carrier.
