Re: three network

Been with three for a couple of years now, and find their coverage very good. They have the largest 3G network, and for 2G use the Orange network.

Like any operator though they have black spots with poor coverage. One option would be to pick up a free SIM from them and see what coverage is like in areas where you need it. In my office I get an OK signal from 3, excellent from O2, good from Vodafone, pathetic from Orange and T-Mobile. In our old office O2 was non existant, and the others were all excellent. There really aren't any hard and fast rules, sadly.

Re: three network

The networks fine but the phones are really poor right now.
They don't have much selection.

Re: three network

Yeah I'm on three with a similar deal on an E71 (200min, unlimited text and internet for 20ppm). I never pay anything on top, unless I go abroad.

Re: three network

Three are the best network if coverage in your area(s) is present.

If its patchy, then don't bother. Three have their customised firmware installed onto every phone, and this forces you to stay on their 3G network till the last bar, and only then does it go onto the Orange 2G network. If you de-brand the phone, you can force it to stay on the 2G network.

Also, keep in mind, 3 are expanding rapidly, and they have about a 8 month gap between ending contracts with Orange on their selected 2G masts and their own 3G mast going up. During this period, reception is usually non existent, I know because I went through this process, and its what forced me to cancel my contract with them.

Re: three network

I've been with three for a number of years and the service has been okay but ever since my last upgrade the coverage has been shocking and calls keep dropping and the other person can hardly hear me (happens indoors & outdoors).

I would really like a way of getting out of my 3 contract but i'm struggling to come up with a good enough case to force them into ending my contract as its doing my nut in

Any suggestions would be much appreciated?

BP
