N86,HTC Hero, SE W995

I've had a few problems with my Samsung Pixon 12 & Dialaphone are prepared to exchange.
There's a few 'phones on offer, but the ones that seem most likely are the N86, HTC Hero & W995.
I will use mainly for calls/texts (obviously), internet, radio/music whilst dog walking/running & pictures.
I'm interested in feedback or opinions from anyone with any experience of these handsets.

Thanks in advance

You can probably do more with the Hero than the other two.
In my opinion it's the best of the 3.

Thanks

Looking more at the Hero the camera seems to be a "weakness" & it doesn't have a radio, so I'm not sure it'll be quite what I need.

Anyone had/used the N86?

Re: N86,HTC Hero, SE W995

If the camera is important, then all the reviews have the N86 as one of the very best available today. If you have a look on flickr you'll see it's pretty much comparable to many dedicated point and click cameras. Beautiful shots, and decent low light perfromance, which is almost unheard of in a phone cam.

(Have only had a brief play about with one, but it runs the symbian OS which I've used quite a bit, and will do everything you need, but not as pretty, or as flexible as the Hero in terms of applications)

Re: N86,HTC Hero, SE W995

My vote goes to the HTC Hero! Fantastic phone and I am (so far) very impressed with the android OS. A BIG step up from my old sony K750i!!

Yes, the camera is a major drawback ... but you have to think of it as a phone with a camera and not a 'camera-phone'. That said, the camera is sufficient outdoors in ample daylight and although it is not a patch on the likes of the Sony handsets, I can live with it..... most people (myself included) will have a small digital camera anyway....

The lack of a radio isn't a bother as I never listened to my previous phone (K750i)..... besides, you can always listen to streaming radio if you have an ample data allowance, or just get a 16GB card and stick loads of music on it.......

For the ability to sync with google, outlook, etc., and as a truly open source handset, the Hero is currently the king of phones.

Re: N86,HTC Hero, SE W995

Thanks for the feedback fellas
I do tend to use the camera quite a lot (it's handy with a young daughter to get decent shots without carrying an additional camera & convenient to send to family) and use the radio most days whilst out running or dog walking - the radio on my Pixon continually "fails" & that's why I'm changing it. My data allowance is 500mb so I'm not sure that would be sufficient.
Everything else I've heard about the HTC is good, but haven't heard much from N86 owners.
Cheers
