What is the cheapest mobile phone (or MP4 player) with iPlayer compatibility?

I'm looking to possibly purchase a new mobile phone (or standalone MP4 player) that will work with iPlayer files.

Has anyone got any good suggestion of low priced units I could consider?

Thanks in advance.

If you're happy to dip into the second hand market, the likes of the Nokia N95 8GB are a damn fine choice.

Otherwise, the Nokia 5800 is a good option new.

Don't forget that whilst some cheaper phones exist that may support iPlayer, having a decent sized screen will make it actually viewable. You'd soon get tired of a small screen.

Re: What is the cheapest mobile phone (or MP4 player) with iPlayer compatibility?

There is a list of supported mobiles with which iplayer features they support at BBC - BBC iPlayer - Help - Can I access BBC iPlayer on my mobile phone?

Only the Nokia N85/N86/N96/N97 support "sideload" (downloading from your PC and putting it onto the phone for watching on the go

I generally find the streaming on demand stuff on mobiles is slightly cut down (not everything makes it), plus only some networks allow you to stream Iplayer (Three do, and one other, either t-mobile or vodafone, I forget which). A few other devices allow you to download a program from the mobile iplayer while connected to a wifi network, to watch later.

No experience of MP4 players and iplayer, sorry.
