Travel to Oz later this month, where, what & when is the best deal/option for uisng a mobile abroad please?

Get a local SIM card.

Consider a dual SIM phone if you really need contact on your UK number.

Tell everyone you will be able to receive SMS only (as free to receive) and don't answer any calls.

Set up voice mail with no ability for callers to leave a message but informing them to SMS or preferably, to email.
