HTC Hero or hd2 and some help

Fist questions whats the difference with htc hero and the hd2 phone which i beleive is the same phone but newer and coming out,who will be the network to take the hd2 out then followed by?
Is it worth holding onfor hd2,is this the same as ht hero g2 or just the same with a few extras.

Now i am on t mobile im sure my contract is up in dec,but on my account i can upgrade on nov, some days ago i see a not bad deal on htc hero g2 phone,i asked for an upgrade by email for same, they was not having it,cause on so many people got it and offer was finished and even now tmobile are offering me a crap deal with me already being a customer.

I have tried a few times now by email and they say it was the best they can offer,so i said to them i will then look for a new network and the phone i want to scare them into giving me what i want, but im sure that will not work too.

Anyway i was wondering if they did give in and give me the deal and phone i wanted would i have to wait till nov on the date they say on my account for the upgrade or would i get it before then, what does the date mean on your account, say i wanted to cancel my contract, when can i do this, before that date, after that date or in dec which is when i think my 12 months is up,i dont want to be too late and have to pay an extra month of my 12 months contract cause i got mixed up with the months.

Now there is a deal i have seen, which i maybe go for and maybe for the phone i would like,it might not be around long and i suppose i could just get this other contract and keep my one for now and when its up cancel it,the new phone and contract i would maybe go for offers free number transfer, which i think would be very handy and usefull, but could i do that when i would be currently under contract with that same phone,is it possible to get this phone and get my number transfered with still having another contract with that number?

As i dont think t mobile is gonna budge with what they offer me,any info and help on all above would be magic

Re: HTC Hero or hd2 and some help

The HD2 is a Windows Mobile device, the Hero runs Android.

I recommend doing a Google search for the specs.

Why not give T-mobile a ring for clarification on dates? In a nutshell, your 12 month contract ends in December but network operators allow customers to upgrade a little earlier and the remainder of the contract is added to the new contract, i.e. if you upgrade in November you'll start a new contract and the remaining month of your existing contract will be added to the new one.

Re: HTC Hero or hd2 and some help

The Hero and HD2 are completely different phones. Aside from the operating system difference, the HD2 is much larger, has a much bigger screen with a much higher resolution, and a much more powerful CPU.

O2, T-Mobile and Vodafone will all offer the HD2. (Of course you can buy one SIM-free and use an Orange SIM in it).
