So what is it? what do you think? try to justify your choice aswell.

If you can, include ones that will be able to upgrade to 2.0 aswell!

That's easy - HTC Hero. Only had mine for 2 weeks but I can already confidently say it's the best phone I've ever had. Intuitive and easy to use, all the gizmos you could want and yes, Android 2.0 will be available via a future update.

Try one and see for yourself.

Re: Best android phone available at the moment?

The Motorola Droid is, I think, just a few days from launching. The Acer Liquid is due out this side of Xmas, I believe. There are persistent rumours of a new high-end Android phone from HTC (codenamed Dragon) - again, we expect to see this before Xmas. Any of these is likely to knock the Hero into a cocked hat, thanks to much larger, higher-res screen, and much more powerful CPU.
