Mobile Phone for playing MP4 videos

Hi all

I've not upgraded my PAYG mobile phone for 10 years since purchasing Nokia 8850. i now want to get something that plays video in MP4 format and i've decided on a LG GW300

lg gw300 pay as you go pay as you go mobile phone from phones 4u

but before i buy this i want your advice.

a) is this phone ok, does it play MP4 clips smoothly.

b) what happens if you have a clip of 640x480 resoultion... does the W300 play this file on its 320 x 240 display (auto downscale) or will the clip have to be re-encoded to 320 x 240

My other questions

c) is there a phone out there that plays Divx clips

d) is there a phone out there that has a Bass speaker built in

thanks

Re: Mobile Phone for playing MP4 videos

I've downloaded the official Divx player from the divx site for my N95 (works great) so you could probably install it on the LG, check the website though. Mobilize Your Media | DivX.com

Resolution depends on the video support with each phone.

Bass speaker, well not really but my wife just just bought a SE Walkman phone which came with a free speaker/stand thing which sounds brill for something so small.
