Transferring 3 Sim Card To A New Phone?

Hi

Im currently 6 months into my mobile phone contract with 3 and ive never liked the phone i selected, so i want to buy
a new phone and use my current 3 sim card in the new phone.

Im a bit of a novice when it comes to mobiles so could anyone tell me
will i be able to do this or will i have to get the phone unlocked Etc?

The phone must be unlocked to all networks in order for this to work. But bear in mind some services from Three only work on Three branded phones, their web based services mainly.

Re: Transferring 3 Sim Card To A New Phone?

Bear in mind that most 3 contracts specify that the SIM must be used in a handset supplied by 3. Certainly, if you use a 2G handset you will be disconnected. There have also been reports of 3 objecting to handsets bought from eBay (presumably these were upgrade handsets which were sold on) and other third party sellers.
