Air time when buying on PAYG

Hi, when you go to buy a PAYG phone most providers charge you around £10 on top of the purchase price of a phone.

Can this £10 air time credit only go onto the new sim card that comes with the new PAYG phone or can you add put it to your current sim card that is planned to go into the new phone.

Cheers

Re: Air time when buying on PAYG

If you're buying the PAYG phone on the same network as you're currently on - i.e. you're an O2 PAYG customer buying an O2 PAYG phone - then you can usually get away with not paying the credit.

Otherwise, 95% of the time it will have to go on the SIM bought with the PAYG phone.... but at the managers discretion that could decide to waive that. I very much doubt they will though, but no harm in asking.
