While I wouldn't disagree with the assertion that the iPhone offers the best browsing solution for now, that may change in the next couple of months, given that the iPhone is about the only phone- or computing-platform in the entire world that will
not get full-on Flash support. Adobe have announced that they will be releasing a full version of FlashPlayer 10.1 for absolute everything
except the iPhone, with beta versions being made available for many operating systems this side of Christmas. Once that happens, I think the iPhone will start to be at a disadvantage.

On some WinMo phones, Opera is set up to stay running in the background at all times unless you force it to exit. That makes it "launch" instantaneously. (Of course, depending on how much memory is available on the phone, you might not want to make it do that!)
