Can you upgrade early?

Hi,

My upgrade is due at the very beginning of January and I am with Vodafone.

Is there any way of getting an early upgrade?

Thanks for your help.

Why not ring them and find out?
On three you can upgrade three months before the contract ends which for me is the 13th November but the web site will only let me upgrade on that date.

Also if you upgrade what phone do you want?
As I like the N900 but its not out yet.

I really want the N900, but like you, am waiting for it to be released.

I was wondering if there are any tactics into getting a network to upgrade early?!

Re: Can you upgrade early?

At present Vodafone don't have it on their 'Coming Soon' page and that normally means it is not going to be on Voda anytime soon. Nice looking phone though.

Re: Can you upgrade early?

I'm talking about Vodafone direct (their website). On their official website it is not displayed. If there is any issues regarding firmware will Voda help out? I'm not too sure as they may state that it is not 'supported' by them.

So you could get a handset through mobilephonesdirect on Vodafone, but then if there are any issues with it Vodafone will not assist?

Not too sure Mevetts, I was just making the comment thats all. If you are with Vodafone maybe it would be worth asking before taking the plunge.

Yeah, will wait and see. I can't pursue an upgrade until early december realistyically, so will see what happens regarding the N900 on Vodafone direct.

Re: Can you upgrade early?

MPD hold SIM free stock and bundle it with a contract, so it's not a Voda handset and may therefore lose out on any of the Voda Live/360 services they offer, which require a branded firmware.

You often find Voda Customer Services aren't as helpful as they could be if you've bought your Voda contract from a third party.
