Actually you might also want to take a step back and think about whether you really want a top-end "smartphone" at all. For the sort of things you're talking about - calls, sms, and web-browsing - a top-end device like this is really over-specified. Top-of-the-line devices are great if you want to be install a wide-range of new applications which extend the phone's abilities; but if all you want to do with it is stuff that it does straight out of the box, then a decent "feature phone" may be better value - something like the Samsung Jet, for example.
