is there such a phone that...

is there such a phone that when it is called it will automatically answer, and switch onto loudspeaker

the thing is, it's for an elderly person who would be better off with something like this way as at the moment when they answer a call, they press the red divert key rather than the green one

thanks.

You could try this app with a Nokia S60 phone - Symbian Guru LoudSpeaker Review - Automatically Answer Calls with your Speakerphone

It works for any Nokia S60 phone and claims to do make the phone do exactly what you want though I haven't tried it. I don't know of any phones that do just what you want out of the box, but there could well be apps for all the smart phones to do this. I'd also try searching the apps available for Android, windows phones, Apple Iphone etc. Any one of them might have a similar app.
Personally, I'd go for a Nokia for an older person using something like that above app. In my opinion they are reasonably easy to use, especially if you are just doing the basics (calling, texting), which sounds like it might be important. The feature phones (non-smart) are possibly a bit simpler to use but can't have this type of app installed.

Hope that helps.
