iphone pay&go sim

Hi my wife was going to use my pay&go iphone 3gs sim in here pay&go phone so she can use the free internet for 12m. I have spoke to the 02 shop and the customer services and they said that i can do that. But i have just read a little booklet in the sim pack saying (sim can only be used in the iphone not compatible with other phones??) Which i think seems strange. Has anybody else used the sim in another phone??? thanks

Re: iphone pay&go sim

The SIM will work and the data might work but I'd expect the WiFi wouldn't. If any of the WiFi carriers see an iPhone number trying to connect from a non-Apple MAC address then I can't imagine they would allow it.

But then I've not tried myself so could be completely wrong
