Hi all, I know this is the mobile phone part of the forums, but it's the closest I can find to being relevant!
Basically I'm after some decent DECT phones for my house. I had a BT Stratus and took it back as the sound quality wasn't great and it kept playing up too. I exchanged this for a set of iDECT S2i's, I saw they had a Which Best Buy award so went for them. Again, unimpressed with the call quality and unless your ear is placed just in the right place, they are rediculously quiet.
So, anyone got any reccomendations? I want a twin set with answerphone, would like them to look classy and slick, but actually work properly!

Have a look at the Siemens Gigaset handsets.

I've got the S685 model, 2 handsets with answer phone. There are nicer looking ones than this in the range if you want to pay for them. Easy to use and setup and excellent sound quality on all calls.

Right, I'll be getting a set of Siemens this evening, if they're crap it looks like Panasonic is the way forward!

I've been quite happy with the Siemens. They work very well and look good.

They also have a few models (I think those communicate via IP) that have wideband voice codecs, even better than regular telephony. If both sides are using them, of course.
