Smile 0870 and 0845 numbers from mobiles

More and more companies are using "non-geographical" numbers which, if dialled from a landline, the call is charged at local or national rates.

however if called from a mobile it's very much a hit-and-miss business.

As I use such numbers frequently, (about 400 min/month) I need a monthly plan that will do this at the best prices possible for peak and off peak calls.

I know that some networks include them in their free minutes.. but not sure which ones.

Can any one help?

Thanks

Hi i'm on orange and i get all my 0845 and 0870 numbers free in my inclusive mins.

I'm on talk 200 and i have everyday 50 on line 2.

This gives me 200 mins peak or off peak and 50 mins everyday off peak and calls at 1p to landlines.

i'll have to check my statements, as I am sure I've been charged for these numbers on talk 200

Thanks Nokiaman,

My info about talk 200 + evryday 50 is a s follows:

Talk 200 >> 0870 free 0845 charged 15p/min at all times

everyday 50 >> 0845 free off peak only, rest charged

The above combination is reasonably attractive, but is there anything better out there??

Also, I was told that Orange don't do everyday 50 anymore, is it true?

Doubleespresso, I have the exact same tariff combo as I am yet to find anything better. There aren't any new ED50 connections now and to be honest the market is know less competitive than it was 18 months ago. I upgraded my phone rather than get a cheap new contract deal back in March so I could remain on my "old tarrifs", at least they still offer a year of Orange Care (which is fantastic) when you do it that way.

page loads fine on my browser... Thanks nigel, very useful!

BTW, anyone on O2 care to confirm that 0870 numbers are part of their xnet bundled minutes? I was told by the Link yes but CPW says no...
who is right?
