Phone recommendations - iphone 3gs or Blackberrys

Hi

I am on a contract with vodafone 100 mins anytime at £15 a month. This contract is up next month.

With the main broadband connection I already have free wifi so I am able to connect to the hotspots.

i need the following

Address book - to keep full address, phone numbers birthdays etc

Music

Clear screen needed - i horse ride and get lost so thought the gps / maps /internet would be great for this.

needs to be speedy

battery needs to last at least 24 hours with gps etc

Text - i need something that is easy to text

internet is good for you tube etc

my shortlist of phones are iphone 3gs , blackberry bold, blackberry curve or blackberry 8520

can anyone recommend which of the phones above would be the best.

Not considering an HTC Touch Pro2, Touch Diamond2 or Hero, then? Or a Samsung i8910 HD?

Out of your list I would go for the iPhone unless either you want a physical keyboard or you particularly like Blackerry's unusual take on email. If you do want a physical keyboard then actually Touch Pro2 might be a better bet anyway (although it is bigger and heavier).

Don't discount the E71 Nokia if you fancy a full qwerty keyboard.

iphone 3gs all the way , simple to use , east to text
awesome internet brower , go for this its the best in my opionion . this is the best in my opinion

have a look at the new htc aswell and if you want to be tight on the monthly the samsung jet as your currently paying 15 / month would also fit the bill as alternatives on cheaper tariffs to the htc and apple

Good luck using maps on an iphone for 24 hours on one charge! I love the iphone but a blackberry suits the needs better in this case I reckon.
