iphone 3g s or HTC Hero - what would you choose and why?

My own personal reasons for choosing the Hero over an iPhone are...

-Hero is a better size for a phone

-Hero has a lovely Teflon coating, feels great in hand

-Sense UI is very, very nice

-I already have an iPod and hate iTunes

-I like the open source aspect of Android OS

-Drag and drop files when plugged into computer

-O2 screw you on their tariffs.

-SIM free far too expensive for what it is (yay for Apple Tax!)

-5.0MP camera (although all mobile cameras suck really)

-Replaceable battery

-Expandable memory

-I don't like how Apple chose not include basic features such as MMS, Copy n Paste etc and then make out like they invented them when they finally do add them... although since those features are now included, this point is pretty much null and void.

There's more but that's all that initially springs to mind...

Having said all that, I do still think the iPhone is a great device, it's just not the device for me.

Its as simple as this. If you are the kind of person that is going to jailbreak the iphone 3gs, then get an iphone, if not go for the htc hero. That is unless you are going to get the 32gb version as 32gb memory cards are not yet available for the hero.

Remember the hero is almost half the price.
