I'm still reeling from the discovery that "unlimited mobile internet" at Vodafone is actually capped at a risible 500MB a month.

How do the other providers' policies compare with this?

T-Mobile give 1GB but if you have either the G1 or G2 (HTC Hero) phones, this is increased to 3GB.

I was told this by T-Mobile when upgrading to the HTC Hero. I am on on the Flext plan so am not sure if the same applies to the Combi plans. Can't see why it wouldn't as I was told the reason for increasing the allowance was the always on internet widgets on the T-Mobile branded G1 and G2 phones.

That's actually really decent of them to do that. I'm not sure I'd ever hit 3GB on my phone but at least I know I can use the net on it without worrying about running up excess charges.

O2 is truly unlimited? Does that mean I can play radio Internet audio streams through my 3G connection on my iPhone and not get any extra charges from O2?

I have a Belkin FM transmitter which I have tried connected to my iPhone for a short period of time. Works really well. It's great driving along the motorway listening to radio stations from all over the world.

The only problem is when you loose the mobile phone signal, you loose the radio station as well!!!!! But from the tests I've done it works really well when near towns/cities.
