Question Help please! Recommend a "Slide" phone on Orange?

My daughter starts Secondary school in September and I feel it is a sensible idea for her to have a phone of her own now. She tells me she would like a "slide" phone - it will need to be on Orange PAYG.
Any suggestions as I am utterly devoid of mobile phone savvy post last Century!
My main consideration will be cost - I presume hers will be peer cred!

I've just bought a Samsung C3050, it's a pretty solid slide phone. Can get it from Orange for £50 which includes the £10 top up.

My eldest has a Samsung G600. Being metal bodied it's almost bulletproof so is ideal for kids and will have all the features she will like.

Don't think Orange direct do this one anymore but you may find an Online store with one or pick one up of the trading section here.

Re: Help please! Recommend a "Slide" phone on Orange?

I've had 2 Samsung sliders (D600 & D900) and loved them both.. great phones to use and really well built. There's quite a few models on Orange PAYG so it would depend on your budget really, and any key features your daughter might want, such as mp3 or camera.

Assuming it's within budget, another option on Orange might be the Sony Ericsson W205. This is a slide phone with camera and mp3 player. Again, SE phones are very easy to use and take some fair abuse.
