Panasonic X70 battery life

Anyone got one of these yet? What's the standby time you are achieving? I know they say 290 hours but if it's anything like my old T39, turn Bluetooth on and it'll last a day if you're lucky. I have a Nokia 6310 at the mo and it's brilliant, long battery and works perfectly. I would like something a bit smaller though. Must have Bluetooth good battery life, at least 4 or 5 days on standby.

Don't like Ericcsons. Had a T39 and it was pretty naff for performance and battery life. Also had one years ago and didn't like that either. My bruv had a T68 but wished he'd got the 6310 as it was constantly mucking about.

He now has an X70 and reckons he gets 2 days on standby. Frankly, thats pathetic. I need at least 5. Maybe I'll stick with the 6310, it's a brilliant phone and does everything perfectly. I guess the Motorola (please, no) V500 has similar false claims about it's 5 day battery?

I don't need the gizmo's I want a business phone that works well and last a long time. The 6310 is perfect but a little large.

The 6310i is a perfect phone has 12-18day stand by time and has bluetooth is tri band etc nothing wrong just it's nice to have colour sreen 65k+ only for me and new wap 2.0, camera for fun moments but you can live with out these things.

I want a z1010 also their due out in mid jan 04 but 3 wont be selling them til march if they choose to sell it.

That is a pic of the T630 above not quite as nice as the T610 is it?

I enclose a pic of the Z1010 and it has long range bluetooth 100m

Now, that phone looks exciting. What's the battery life supposed to be on it? Not that that's any guide as most makers appear to be a little 'creative' in this regard. Nokia seem reliable but 290 hours for an X70? SInce when did you get 290 hours in 2 days? The last Erricson I had (T39) also made false claims about battery life.

However, I am a little excited by this new one.

Also fancy an X70 - cracking featured phone - and it's the only one on the market that gives me the two features I really need/like i.e Bluetooth and Speakerphone in a compact case.

The battery life issue needs further investigation though - BIGGEST issue is that currently it's only available on Orange - and I have some seruious issues with Orange - patchy signals where I live and I, along with several colleagues, am convinced that it's penetration into buildings is inferior to O2 / Vodafone.

Vodafone (my preffered provider) do not offer the X70 and have no plans to do so! BUMMER.

However they will be launching the new Motorola V600 (even better version of the V525) in January and this also does what I want - never been that keen on Motorola software though, don't know if they've improved since two years or so ago?

Thoughts?

Yeah, I was also looking at the moto but my wife has the original V phone and its a pig to use. I guess with the new, cursor based screen displays that may have changed. The old question of battery life remains though.

V66 was a waste of time!!! I think motorola stryggle against Nokia and ecirrsson for navigation. 290 hours stanby that flip closed turned on no calls or messages no BT just lying on a desk. halve that for real stanby, its the colour screens that suck juice added to BT and then i guess you would be looking at 4 hours of use!!!!
