Advice on buying a prepay phone?

I have an old Nokia 3310 on an OVP Virgin orange tariff, the battery life is crap now so I thought I'd buy a new phone...

Can I buy any pre-pay orange phone and use my existing OVP sim in it?

Also is there a market for the new orange sim from the pre-pay?

Cheers,

Steve.

Yes and yes but you also buy any unlocked handset and use your orange sim O2 handsets always used to be unlocked.

There isn't a definative answer to this question, however i'd work on the assumption that unless otherwise informed, the handset will be locked.
Nokia 3410's can be picked up cheaply at the moment and are easily unlocked (the software to do this is free, all you require is an inexpensive data cable), this may be a solution for you.
