Port Number mid contract???

Is it possible to port a PAYG Orange number to an Orange contract three months into the Orange Contract?

I know it's fine to port a PAYG number at the time you take the Orange contract but anyone know if three months in it's the same?

Thanks

Piers

Re: Port Number mid contract???

Hi, ive recently taken out an orange contact with the nokia n97.. I spoke to orange customer service today and they said I could port a number onto the contract at any point, so im planing on takeing a payg number to my new contract , so all should be fine with ur situation.

Re: Port Number mid contract???

no its not an orange payg number im transfering, ive transfered my old orange contract number to a t mobile payg sim card then will be transfering back to my new orange contract.. I think u might need to ring orange as I think when u transfer an orange payg number to an orange contract you have to do it at the point of sale, ( when u buy the contract), thats hown it used to be done when i worked at phones 4u.

Re: Port Number mid contract???

Yep, you cant port a number on the same network mid contract. You would need to port it out then back in.
