Been waiting for a decent smartphone on T-Mobile for nearl 2 years now.
Wanted iPhone, Sony X1 - never came out on T-Mobile.

Thought the G1 was too ugly. Don't fancy the others.

Looks like N97, Palm Pre, new iPhone won't be coming out on T-Mobile either.
Not much comes out on poor T-Mobile. Not the ones I want anyway.

Does anyone know of any new smartphones, or any of the above, coming out on T-Mobile??

I have heard rumors that the htc magic will be coming to t mobile in july or August, its a real tempter. I have just left three and its that or an iphone..... tending to go with the magic as its different, and a far better tariff, and seems to have all the apps im after.

Where did you hear that? If its true then I will definately hang on until then. Sending my HTC magic back to Vodafone today as coverage is reubbish, but can get a decent 3g signal on t mobile here. Really like the Magic and it will be a shame to send it back

What's putting you off the Samsung i8910 as a matter of interest? Considering the other phones you have mentioned I would have thought it would be well up there as a contender.

Upto now I've wanted a hard keyboard but am willing to compromise now with a keyboardless smartphone.

I've had simpler Samsungs in the past and didn't like their O/S as much. Things have changed I suppose with the newer O/S used. But it's just a pet dislike. Clearly not justified anymore if I think about it.

My criteria is quite superficial really hence why I am not in such a rush although I have waited almost 2 years for a nice phone.

I am sure the N97 is coming to t-mobile as when you go on there website and click on pay monthly deals and go to deal 6 it says Nokia N97 is coming soon.

I'm in a similar situation. Been hanging on for the "perfect" mobile for ages. I was set on the N97 with its hardware keyboard too. Haven't ruled it out yet but I'm a little disappointed by the initial previews & hardware specs. I think I could sacrifice the hardware keyboard for the virtual one on the samsung as it has a big screen & I have quite small fingers. I think it has haptic feedback too which will help.

Isn't there a G2 coming at out anytime soon?
(Or is that in the guise of HTC Magic?)

Might rethink my options and just get one. I could've got one last year AND again this year by the amount of time I've been waiting!

There are roumours all over the net that the HTC Magic will be slightly changed cosmetically and released on t mobile as the G2 (maybe not with that name though). If it is I will definately be getting one.
