DECT house phone needed

Hiya, my current trio of Panasonic handsets have come to an end, as they have got interfereance, when using the phone

Tried another phone to see if it were the line or the phone, and sadly it was the phones.

So am after a new set of phones, after 2 this time, so a base phone and one more to pair with it.

Quite like the look of BT Verve 450.

Just wondered what anyone else could recommend???

Re: DECT house phone needed

I have the BT Verve handsets and they are OK at best.

My house is pretty solid and I find the signal doesn't travel far through walls, so the signal breaks up if you wander too far away. This probably says more about my walls though...

The build quality of the phones are pretty good, if a little hard feeling. The keypad is pretty good.

The screen is basic and the user interface even more basic. But it does a job.

I guess it depends what you're after. If you just want basic features and a simple phonebook and call history details, they are decent enough

Re: DECT house phone needed

BT used to rebadge Siemens handsets but a few years ago they started selling their own, and the quality dipped. I and my parents both stopped using our BT DECT systems as they were flakey, unreliable and clunkily designed.

I would heartily recommend Siemens phones as they always seem to be reliable and easy to use, with lots of handy modern features at a decent price. I am using 6 at the moment, and apart from the kids losing them for days on end so the battery runs out, making the handsets harder to track down, they're great.

Any model in particular that you can recommend Niall?
