Tocco or Blackberry curve 8900

Considering one of these on an upgrade for daughter who texts a lot.
Both are free on o2 - £20/month (retention) with 600 mins and unlimited texts. Data an extra £7.50, but may be able to get it included on Blackberry business tariff.
Wanted Tocco because it's relatively small compared with Tocco Ultra, Renoir etc. Any recommendations, good or bad points on either or alternatives?

Re: Tocco or Blackberry curve 8900

If she texts a lot, a touch screen phone may be harder to live with than a physical keypad. My other half has had a Tocco since Christmas and she struggles a little with the keypad still.

It's personal preference though really. The Tocco Ultra would be the ideal compromise, being a touchscreen phone with a proper keyboard.

In terms of size, I think it feels smaller in the hand than the 8900 due to the width. It's quite a high profile phone though so getting a great deal on it might be harder.
