bluetooth phone (t610?)

I need a new phone as I'm fed up with the Siemens S55 I have. I hate it because:

1) The bluetooth doesn't work properly: voicedial from my Ericsson headset is hit and miss, as is answering calls and they just drop mid-conversation.

2) Texting is awful. Only 9 out of 10 key presses are recognised.

Now, I changed to this from a T68 on which the bluetooth was great but the texting was so slow that is was unusable.

I _really_ want a Nokia (had several nokias and my wife has an 8310) but I can't find a decent one with bluetooth and colour screen (forget the 3650 as its massive).

Anyone used a T610? I've seen reports the screen isn't great in sunlight and some saying the texting isn't as fast as a nokia - just wondering if they are really a problem and if the bluetooth works ok.

Thanks.

I`ve recently bought a T610 and i`m really pleased with it.

I don`t see what the problem with the screen is, Its no more difficult to see than any other phone i`ve owned.

I don`t do that much texting so can`t really comment, But i`ve had no problems when i do.

The bluetooth works very well i`ve got a bluetooth USB dongle and have downloaded pics and tones without any problem.

Dear Kryten,

I use bluetooth quite a bit with my T68i but like you find it too slow. A friend
of mine bought the T610 and lent it to me for a day (swapped sim) to give it a
try. I found it vastly more powerful and the bluetooth performed excellently. The
only criticism I had was for the quality of the photos, which I use a bit. However
this issue is being resolved with the soon to be released T630 which is the new
model which I think I shall buy on release. Out soon I'm told.

Wolfie.

Hello,

I got a T610 about 3 months ago. The only problem with the screen is when you are outside and it is sunny. I found it very difficult to see the screen.

I looked into this and a few other people had the same problem. There is an easy solution though.

The solution is to use a light background/theme. Then the text shows up a lot darker.

I have no problem with the texting. I had a nokia 8310 before and the t610 is as quick to text on, and im pretty quick!

I thought the camera produced pretty good pictures, but then it is my 1st camera phone.

Hope this is of help to you.

Regards

Paul
