Sean Been as Old Snake (thinking about what he was like in Lord Of The Rings)

And here's the clincher...

Young Snake played by...

Steve Coogan as "Paul Calf"

Blond hair , dodgy moustache, fag, perfect .....

"Gekko ! Nanomasheeeeenzzz !! Bag o' *****! "

If you're too young to remember Paul Calf, check out YouTube.

Re: Who do you think should play Snake in the movie?

Eric Bana would be my first choice.

But if they were going to go the route of having the same actor play Liquid, seeing as they are twins, they would need someone who could (if we're going by the games) pull off an english accent and blonde hair. Sadly I don't know if Mr Bana would be right in this case.

However I think David Wenham would be excellent for both Snake and Liquid, he would need a good grizzly voice of course, but I'm sure with practice it could work.

Personally I hope they go for the earlier stories, before Metal Gear Solid, I like the conflict between Snake and Big Boss, reminds me of Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader.
