MGO DLC incoming...?

If the word around the web is worth following, and granted it sometimes is, then starting this Friday we can all expect new content for MGO in the form of two new modes; Team Sneaking and Headshot Kill.

According to a post made on the MGO Community Support site, Weekly Famitsu published some new info detailing the two new modes and an upcoming expansion pack which matches up with the late-July release we've been hearing about.

Team Sneaking is similar to rescue with a twist; one team has access to Stealth Camo, while the other team is left with the standard equipment. Headshot Kill is the same as Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistence's HEADSHOTS mode, where players are required to finish off their enemies with a shot between the eyes.

The Bonus Pack, an expansion set of some sort, will launch on July 17th. Included will be two new playable characters (Johnny and Meryl of Rat Patrol), three new maps (Shadow Moses, Mei-Ling's battle-cruiser, and MGS1 Heliport), along with the ability to create female characters and compete in Official Survival Matches.

As the info pours in, we'll be sure to update you all as soon as possible.

YES, Meryl playable and Shadow Moses and a USS Yamoto Class ship and MGS1's heliport for MGO.

E3 will be telling.

Ok this is available now, have downloaded and servers are very busy on game says they need new server units until we can play online

this is going to be pants i have a feeling

Unless this is just and update, anyone know what s going on as the shop is very busy and seems the is new stuff to buy etc

How much is the update??? Konami should have just used PSN for the online, what an idiotic decision...puts me off paying for anything.

Not sure as downloads from in game and then you go to the shop and update your character but bang servers not up to it

I believe this link tells you more, although it states PSN update but this was all updated through game, why oh why do Konami not use PSN to stop any confusion

I like the added stuff you can buy with points etc but the in game html site you go to Konami is stuffed too much traffic, surely they expected to be hit like this after learning from the demo beta

Still cannot find the extra maps, oh well try later

Anyone else getting a blank black screen when trying to get to the MGO shop, with just a black & white 'Metal Gear Online' banner across the top.

Konami are morons, god knows I love MGO, but they are really trying my patience.

Nope, been trying since yesterday, and all day today ... MGO shop still closed.

Expansion is £7.99

Expansion 'Plus' is £9.99 (its just the regular expansion, with an extra character slot thrown in)

I'm with you on that.

I was prepared to buy it yesterday and today. But its been an absolute joke. I don't think I'll bother with the add-on for a while. Give some time to Konami to buck their ideas up.

God knows I love MGO. But its been one hell of a technical disaster.

Argh, I still don't have it.

I'm a little worried, as my friend has a Natwest account, and said he couldn't purchase the pack as it asked for his Natwest "secure pin", which requires a Java plugin that the PS3 doesn't support.

Goddamit Konami!

PS3 does support that secure pin thing, I've done it.
