I need some help, please read!
Hey, im sorry for not posting this in the right section but i didnt think people would see it over there so please answer me here...
Spoiler:
My problem- Im up to vamp in act 4 i can kill him easily and he falls on the floor... i equip my syringe before i go behind him. Then i wait for him to stand up and press R1 snake then turns him around instead of grabbing him... im only pressing R1 no directional buttons.. nothing this is becoming so frustrating so please can someone reply with some help plzzzzzz

  Come on, some folk may have not got far into the game yet and will not know that the character you mention is in the game!
Have some consideration for others, post in the PLAY & HELP thread and USE SPOILER TAGS and you will find that people may well help you!
Also, as mentioned above, this has already been discussed in detail (in the said PLAY & HELP thread) so just do a search!

Cone on guys. I appreciate people not wanting spoilers but you need to give people a break sometimes. He's obviously new to the forums and probably didn't realize what he did. We all make mistakes. Having a go at someone especially someone new to the forums is only going to mean less people joining the forums. Let's all be nice now.
I've edited the thread title as well as a couple of posts and added spoiler tags so others won't stumble into the same information.

Hi mate I think I know the problem that you are having.
Before you CQC (grab him) make sure that you un-equip your weapon or ensure that you have a CQC compatible weapons equipped otherwise he will just push instead of grabbing. Hold R1 don't just press it then tap Triangle with the syringe equipped in your items slot.

thanks for the answer, i actually got it b4 i read by trying a different way instead of him regenerating i simply got him when fighting him, to those who said i posted spoilers.... vamp is in the start of the second act and u see him quite alot...

Go for headshots with a machine gun, but save the final few shots that finish him off until you get near him. Kill him and then run around behind him and equip a CQC pistol. As He starts to get up press R1 and you'll grab him, then press triangle to inject him.
I got stuck as even though my weapon (the MK17) said it was CQC Snake just wouldn't grab him. As soon as I switched to the pistol he grabbed him.

I've found the P90 to the head is a good way to take him down quick. PLus its a CQC weapon so you don't have to disarm before you CQC him and use the syringe. Another tip is if you don't know what you're doing try calling Otacon on the Codec, he will eventually give you a clue as to how to defeat them
