Thought it would be a good idea to start a thread regarding the ingame camera that allows images to be taken ingame

here are a few i took to get us started.

Please post some of your artistic shots for us all to see

Should probably put a spoiler warning in the thread title if you can. I'm on Act 2, so have seen the scenary that you posted but I haven't seen that girl in the sneaking catsuit type thing yet

Please don't post an answer to this question if the answer is a spoiler (I'm only on Act 2) but - how do you get a camera?

It's not really a spoiler but I'll put it in tags anyway > During the mission briefings, send the Mk.2 upstairs and it's behind Sunny's desk... Just roll around a bit and find it<

Can you do this from viewing the mission briefing on the main menu?

Note: I have increased the brightness via Photoshop, but still I am hoping to tweak the brightness level in-game a bit better. So it suits my capture card more.

Note 2: I also resized the shots to fit the forum better. However if you want to see the full 720p versions please let me know.

@ Go_Deano: How did you open up that empty white zone for taking those shots of Laughing Octopus.

There was a camera angle in the that cutscene that I thought was really cool.

the camera is quite low down looking up at snake while one of the out of controls helicopters goes over his head

hard to beleive that non of those shots is pre-rendered...

While i agree that is the wonder of MGS4 it's hardly down to being on the PS3 format

No seriously it is, its Cell making everything 4D *chuckle*

The engine Konami have made is fantastic, act 3 simply looks amazing...infact, the whole damn lot looks amazing and the depth of field has been applied very well (the helicopter shot above for instance)

How do you take a picture of Snake's face? As far as I know the Mk2 can't take photos, can it?

Also, how do you get Raiden's face? I've stunned everyone I can on the Nomad, but I've only got Otacon's face

I don't remember how I got it, maybe I stunned Raiden then while hunting for batteries lol

I didn't know that's how I got it as I haven't got Otacons face (yet)

To take a pic of Snakes face hold L1 and select the camera, keep it held and press O to pass control of the camera to a second controller.

You need to run into sunny with the mk II to get raidens closed mask, and run into Naomi to get the open raidens mask

I know that to get Otacon's face you 'stun' Raiden... I proper confused a friend of mine the other day by emailing him a photo of Otacon in the sneaking suit :D
